Ulysse Pila

Woven Fabrics from France

Ulysse PILA established his company back in 1867 and settled down in Lyon a few years later. From the very beginning, the house of ULYSSE PILA specialized in silk imports from China.

At the same time businessman, explorer and public figure of his time, Ulysse PILA was also Lyon ambassador to the South China Sea, which earned him the nickname of "Viceroy of Indochina". He divided his time between his company in Lyon, his numerous business establishments in China and in the French colonies of South Asia.

Almost 150 years later, our company claims its double identity: mostly manufacturer in the region of Lyon, it remains a key player in the import of China's finest silk.

Relying on its exceptional archives, ULYSSE PILA keeps innovating, presenting every season its exclusive creations to designers.
